What's happening on the farm right now?

The on-line store is open and ready for business! We've got your ranunculus, anemones and mixed bouquets available, along with radishes, salad turnips and some baby kale. Spring plant starts are listed too.

Pick up options for this coming Saturday are at the North Asheville Tailgate Market 8am until noon and out here at the farm. New policy: You don't have to wait in line! Please come to the check-out table and we will quickly grab your box for you. Unfortunately, we can't yet do the Cecilia's pick up since we are short on helpers. We will be offering pick up at Cecilia's starting April 30.

We've receive a number of emails from folks who can't see our newsletter pictures when reading it on their phones. We have been working to solve this problem with our tech support person, because, let's face it, the pictures are the best part of the newsletter! So far no luck BUT, I have added a "view this in your browser" button at the top of newsletter. In my trial, clicking this will take you to a place that all the pictures are visible. Viewing the newsletter using the gmail phone app also seems to work.

We've been working away in the greenhouse, sowing seeds, stepping up plants, moving starts outside to harden off in preparation for planting in the fields. It is that time of year when every inch of the greenhouse is needed and I spend a good amount of time just moving things around so everything fits! I think there are software programs that do this for large greenhouse operations. We do not have such a program and I am always grateful and amazed that, by some miracle, we seem to have just enough plants moving out of the greenhouse to have room for the new trays moving in!
