Full Sun Farm

What's happening on the farm right now?

The flowers are blooming! With this heat, all the tulips and ranunculus and snapdragons and anemones are going off! We could harvest twice a day and not be able to keep up. We're also doing alot of greenhouse work, sowing more seeds and stepping up more peppers, flowers and tomatoes. We also had pretty much a full day on Monday of putting things back together after Saturday's crazy winds. We were very lucky and were safe and with our electricity. And we didn't out right lose any of the plastic off our high tunnels and greenhouse or the row cover off of our early plantings outside .Everything just needed to be put back on and re-attached, either with ropes or weight bags.

What's available in the store and at market this week?

The North Asheville Tailgate Market opened it's 2023 market season this past Saturday. Market hours are 8am until 12pm.

This week we'll have some watercress, wild-crafted for alovely spring above our house. Also radishes and bags of baby mixed kale, as well as bunches of tulips, ranunculus, snapdragons, and anemones and mixed bouquets. We'll also have some garden starts, kales and mixed lettuces.

The forecast is for rain this Saturday and we have LOTS and LOTS of flowers. Please come out and support us and all the other great NATM vendors if you can. The flowers will be lovely for Easter celebrations and for days after.

All the produce, flowers and plants are also available to order on line so you can be sure you don't miss out. Supplies are limited.
Sandy Mush is alaze with yellow wild mustard at this time of year. Its' scent is the smell of spring to me. The bees and all the pollinators adore it. The tender top shoots are good to eat, just like broccoli raab.
