Full Sun Farm

What's happening on the farm right now:

We have our crew for this season and couldn't be happier. Tayem, on the far right, you might recognize from last year. He's been back since February and has been great in sharing his knowledge of the farm's ins and outs with the new folks. Rob and Nona, far left and left, come to us from a small farm out in Texas and Cat, on the right of center, was most recently was living in Marshall doing work in film. They are all enthusiastic workers and thoughtful learners and we're looking forward to getting to know them better through out the season.

We have really enjoyed the last few days of warm sunny weather. It seems like the veggies and flowers have as well, putting on visibly more leaves and blooms between the morning and evening of each day. As I write, the wind is picking up and bringing with it cool temps and a forecast of possible snow! We'll be covering everything to protect from the freeze of course but the big swings in temps are hard on everyone. Fingers crossed for the strawberries. They are looking really good!

What's available in the on line store and at market?

The North Asheville Tailgate Market starts its spring season this coming Saturday and we'll be there! The online store is also open and taking custom orders for pick up on Saturday. The store closes at midnight on Thursday.

We have red round radishes, watercress, bags of baby kale, spinach, spring onions and green garlic. We also have some wonderful bright bunches of tulips, ranunculus and anemones. We have a small selection of starter plants, greens and lettuce and a few herbs.

CSA Market Shares are available as well. Paying in advance for your produce helps the farm get through the surprisingly lean spring months AND gets you a discount on everything you by. Sounds like a win-win to me ; )

Looking forward to seeing some of your familiar faces on Saturday morning! Dress warmly though. It's supposed to be chilly.
