Full Sun Farm

What's happening on the farm right now:

We're coming out of winter hibernation!

The kale, spinach, lettuce and lettuce mix sown a few weeks ago is just about ready to get planted outside. Turnips and radishes are sprouting in the ground and our first round of tomatoes is about ready to be potted up. Charlie has been helping us weed the overwintering onions, strawberries and flowers (see above) and they are looking good.

Sam, our long time farm manager, has moved on to a new job working in IT. He will be greatly missed and we wish him all the best. Tay (full-time), Michael and Anne Rene (part-time) will be back from last year and we've hired three other full-time folks. Together, we hope they will make up a great crew for this season.

Our pre-order plant sale is live on the website as well as our CSA vegetable and flowers shares. Thank you to those of you who have already signed up!

The plant sale is a great way to do some armchair gardening while it is still a little too wet and cold to be out planting in the garden. We offer only the tried and true summer vegetable and flower varieties that we love and grow ourselves. People have a lot of success with them, especially our tomatoes. One customer said that she had one sungold cherry tomato plant cover the entire side of her house.

CSA Members: Your CSA balances are updated through the last market of 2023. If you have credit remaining, it rolls over to next season. The 2023 CSA discount code expired with the turning of the season. Sign up for a 2024 CSA share to receive the new 2024 code.

Cat tunnel beds are ready to be planted
Our first day at the tailgate markets this year will likely be either the last Saturday March, March 27, or the first Saturday in April, April 4. It all depends on the tulips. They looks like they have a ways to go but things can move quickly.
