Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way to connect you with the farmers who grow your food. We each make a commitment to the other. With your farm share, you purchase, in advance, a season’s worth of local, wholesome and healthy produce. We, in turn, commit to bringing our best efforts to growing you that produce and bringing all the abundance of the farm to you each week from April until December.
For your investment in our farm, you’ll receive a “market share,” that is credit at our on-line farm stand and at any market we attend, allowing you to select your preferred items each week. More details in the Market Shares section below!
Market Shares
Market CSA Shares are our system for distributing the organic produce in which you invest each year. The CSA market share is similar to a traditional CSA share in that you pay into the farm at the beginning of the season and commit to us and yourself that you’ll get produce from Full Sun Farm.
It is different in that your CSA market share acts as credit at our market stands and at our online store, allowing you to CHOOSE exactly what and how much you want, and when you get it.
The CSA market shares are in the amount of $300, $400 or $500 for the season and as a member of our CSA, you get some extra thank you credit. The $300 share receives an additional 5% credit, so $15, the $400 share an additional 7% ($28) and the $500 share an additional 10% ($50).
When you purchase a CSA Market Share, you will receive a physical Full Sun Farm Market Share card that will be preloaded with your market credit and the additional bonus credit for being a CSA member. Use this card like a “gift card” when you check out at our on line and at our farm stands.
Farm share card balances may be checked at any time and monies can be added if necessary throughout the season.
Pick up days are Wednesdays and Saturdays. Wednesday’s is at the River Arts District Farmers Market at the Smoky Park Supper Club on Riverside Drive from 3-6pm and out at the farm from 9am until dusk. Wednesday pick up begins the first Wednesday in May. Saturday’s pick up locations are the North Asheville Tailgate Market on the campus of UNC Asheville from 8am until noon and at the farm from 9am until dusk.
Orders placed on Sundays and Mondays are for a Wednesday pick up. Orders placed on Wednesdays and Thursdays are for Saturday pick up.
Please note: Unless you sign up again the following season, credit left over at the end of the season does not roll over to the next year.
